Brian's Beloved Mentors

Guided by their wisdom and experience, I am blessed to have had so many quality mentors provide an incredible education and share their life wisdom to assist me in being the best version of myself. I am forever grateful to all of these incredible humans!  I hope I have been and will be a mentor to many young people myself

Jim Lehrman

Your wisdom challenged me to look directly at suffering and attachments, guiding me for over 30 years with a profound fatherly presence.and was a true mentor over and over again

Betsy Lehrman

My adopted mom. A master of kindness and incredibly wise. You taught me an entirely different way to parent and nurture. Watching you tend to the small things healed my inner child, leaving an impact that remains transformational to this day.  I will always miss you ands so appreciate the role you played in my life!

Michael Shea PHD

My craniosacral teacher. You hold a PhD in Somatic Psychology and taught me the profound depth of dynamic stillness and midline theory. Your ability to reduce complex healing to essential principles has been foundational to my practice.  I am so proud to be part of your lineage and you're such a great teacher!

You gave me my first craniosacral session in 1998, and it was absolutely life-changing. I took my first craniosacral training with you, and it was so profound that I never stopped. You later introduced me to Michael Shea, your teacher. You are a master healer — even if, in your humility, you claim you don’t know what you do. Nearly everyone I’ve met agrees that you are extraordinary.

I call you my spiritual mom, but you are a mother to me on every level. I feel deeply blessed to have you in my life. You are one of the wisest women I have ever met.
You have accomplished so much, and you carry an almost psychic knowing. Your heart is as big as your mind is brilliant. You are the perfect blend of divine loving mother and powerful goddess. I love you so much and cherish our time together.

My spiritual dad, who introduced my brother and me to Maya. The fact that you could attract a woman like that said so much about you. You had an incredible perspective on life. You found humor in everything, yet you could also go deeply into pain and suffering. Your smile was infectious. Your wisdom ran deep.

You were there for me during many crucial moments — You carry immense wisdom and strength with humility. You are an extraordinary artist, musician, chef, and friend. Plus an amazing community builder. You could deliver fierce truth while still laughing at life. You blessed so many of our lives. For that, I am forever grateful and love you.

You called me Little Brother Bear, and you were Big Brother Bear. What an honor it was to learn and work with you. You taught me the importance of integration as a bodyworker:  You also taught me that healing is a force of momentum — and how to generate it. I truly lucked out getting to study beside you for two years.and you a true Master Healer and Teacher

Shankara

Shankara, who passed away over 20 years ago now. You took time to seek out us young, inspired souls and share your wisdom. You had a genuine interest in our lives and seemed to see your path reflected in us. You carried a brilliant humility and were never shy about admitting that you had once been a young, unconscious man. you offered us all compassion,  grace, and wisdom,

I was so blessed to have you as a professor and to take a womb surround with you. You were a genius in so many ways. Your work with groups in the pre- and perinatal field was groundbreaking. Your greatest gift to me was your command of the “pause” — knowing how to slow down a traumatic process.  We will always miss you as you have been on the other side since 2020.

I met you in early 2021 and began trading with you. You have become such a mentor to me. I love that after more than 40 years of seeing full-time clients as a bodyworker, you still say you don’t really know what you do. But what you do is truly amazing. You have a heart of gold. I’m so grateful we met and that we continue to be friends and trade sessions.. I still have so much to learn from you.

Patricia

You were my first astrology teacher when I was 21 years old and can’t believe you have been gone for almost 30 years. You were a tiny woman, yet a total spark plug. Born on Christmas Day, you were a true star yourself. You carried such humility, spunk, and love. I learned so much from being able to sit with you and talk astrology. Love you, Patricia. I hope you’re good wherever you are.

Even though you’re one of my best friends and only four months older than me, I can still put you in this category because you’ve been like a professor to me. You are an epic human. It’s been incredible to watch you grow from a 21-year-old into a well-known internet personality and professor. You inspire me all the time. Plus, you’re an incredible performer and speaker. I admire your humility with all of your success.

Arthur, you are a one of one. There are too many things to mention about you here. You positively impacted not only my life, but most of us who met you back in the day. I’ve never met anyone before or since who was a real-life magician. Your spirit guide theory on entertaining the spirit world was world class wisdom. You taught me how to relate to wild animals and have authentic experiences with them. You made life so fun and magical

You fought off death with cancer for nearly 20 years. You overcame terminal cancer. You were my greatest teacher when it came to how to treat women and truly love them. I’ll never forget when I was 22 years old and you had me pick a flower, then showed me how to touch and handle it. How easily a flower could be damaged He also meditated every day as part of his path to healing and staying alive. Passed in 2006, and there will never be another Ritchie.
